VS Code can now hide the wall of tool output

Hi {{first_name}} — mostly cleanup this week, with one genuinely nice addition if you work in VS Code.

VS Code got a "Focus view." Turn it on and Claude stops printing every single thing it does. You get a short summary per turn instead, which you can expand when you're curious. Hit `Ctrl+Alt+F` to toggle it. If the scrolling firehose has ever made you lose your place, start here.

Files you @-mention no longer disappear. Before, if you typed a prompt, attached a file, pressed Esc to back out, then sent it again, the file was quietly dropped — and Claude answered as if it had never seen it. Fixed. That's one less mystery when the answer looks wrong.

Windows startup is quieter. Claude Code used to lean on PowerShell when it started up, which made some company security tools throw a warning at you. It doesn't do that anymore, so fewer alarming pop-ups before you've written a word.

Plugins you install now just work. Install something with `/plugin` and it turns on right away instead of making you run `/reload-plugins` first.

• "Connection closed mid-response" no longer shows up on replies that actually finished fine.
• On a locked-down work network, a stuck startup check now fails fast with a readable message.
• Emoji autocomplete accepts `:thumbsup:` and friends. Small, but nice.
