Build your story bank

Almost every behavioural interview question is asking for a story about something you actually did. There are far fewer distinct stories in your career than there are questions, which is the whole opportunity: prepare the stories once, and you can answer most questions.

People prepare the other way round — they collect questions and try to invent an answer for each, live, under pressure. That is why the answers come out shapeless.
